behavior
Yes, I think behavior plays important role in our everyday life. This is because how can we know what’s going on in someone else’s mind? For instance, if you want to know if a student knows what “dog” means. She can just tell you that she knows what “dog” means, but she can be lying. How can you find out that she’s not lying? You can have her explain what “dog” means. (And I think this come from people’s behavior). I don’t think behavior is enough because behavior is temporary thing that is determined by circumstances. However, it’s hard to measure something without a behavior. I believe that you should also consider “intentions” or “understanding.” This matter as well.

I like how you say that behavior is only temporary and that it isn't enough, I completely agree. I think that observing behavior is only a starting point because intention and unobservable thought is what guides our actions even if it is a lie or if the action is misperceived. Also, thoughts and their consequential actions are completely based on circumstances that are constantly changing.
ReplyDeleteHey Laura I agree with what you say about behavior and how it plays a important role in everyday life. People can lie through words, but when it comes to emotions which reflect your behavior for that circumstance you cant always hide that or act differently then how you feel. Similarly if you are having problems in a friendship your behavior towards the person your having problems with may change, and you may not want to be around them as much etc. As my favorite saying goes ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
ReplyDeletehey guys by the way i realize the above post and the other post I did are showing as unknown does anyone know how to change that?
